H.A.L. se utilizează în caz de imposibilitate a controlului hemoragiilor din patul placentar, în placenta acreta, increta, percreta, C.I.D. secundar, în hematoame ale spațiului Retzius, după histerectomii pe cale
vaginală sau în hemoragii apărute după histerectomii totale.
